Substitutions:

Substitute for white wine vinegar: You can use white vinegar or red wine vinegar instead.

Substitute for maple syrup or agave: If you would prefer to use honey that would work nicely, or in a pinch you could use a simple syrup made of one part sugar dissolved into one part hot water.

Substitute for parsley, oregano, or basil: You can substitute all three for 3 Tbs of Italian seasoning, or if you're only missing one you can substitute it for dried, finely chopped rosemary.

Substitute for red pepper flake: If you don't have any red pepper flake you can leave it out. Conversely, if you want to add a little more zip to your salad dressing you can double it.

Substitute for garlic clove: You can substitute it with 3/4 tsp of dried garlic powder instead.
